San Marzano - Tramari Primitivo Rosé

San Marzano

Tramari Primitivo Rosé

Puglia, Italia

This nectar is a 100% Primitivo from vines planted 100m asl. The grapes are harvested in the first week of September. Partial drawing off of the Primitivo grape must after a few hours of maceration, followed by the fermentation process typical of white wines. Then the divine juice ages in stainless steel tanks. Salute!

Appearance

The wine has a pink color. The intensity is pale.

Nose

The aroma intensity is medium plus. The nostrils are bewitched by scent od roses and hints of ripe raspberry, cranberry, with light notes of vanilla and white pepper. Another sniff, and balsamic notes of thyme, rosemary and Mediterranean bush comes out.

Palate

In the mouth, the wine is dry with medium level of acidity and low tannins. The alcohol is medium (i.e. 12,5 %). On the palate, we find again the red cherry, the spices and the balsamic notes already found at the note. Nice minerality. flavor intensity and lasting are medium plus.

Conclusion

This Primitivo Rosè is going to be my trusted ally to fight against endless battalions of mussels and raw crustaceans in this already too warm summer. The aromatic bouquet is characterized by hints of ripe raspberry, cranberry, but also vanilla and pepper. Scents of thyme, rosemary and Mediterranean bush make you feel like you were in Puglia! It has a lovely texture on the palate, and its minerality makes the nectar quite lively and vibrant.
