San Paolo Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva 2016
This nectar is a 100% Verdicchio. The grapes are gently pressed and ferment in stainless steel tanks. Then the divine juice ages for 14 months in stainless steel tanks on its own yeasts, and afterwards it refines for further six months. Salute!
The wine has a lemon gold color with green shades. The intensity is pale.
The aroma intensity is pronounced. There are a light perfume of jasmine and blossom, followed by sharp hints of lime, lemon, green apple, and lychees. The minerality is quite marked with notes of flint and wet stone.
In the mouth, the wine is dry with a high level of acidity. The alcohol is medium (i.e. 13.5 %). The flavor intensity is pronounced. The aromatic bouquet immediately reveals a tasty note of lemon custard, followed by fruity notes of melon, grapes, lime, and lemon zest. There are also refreshing balsamic hints of grass and rocket. The long aging of the yeasts has given notes of bread crust and brioche. As tertiary, there is a light almond. Also at the palate, the minerality is quite net. The lasting is medium plus.
A truly lively and refreshing nectar, characterized by a sharp minerality and vibrant citrusy flavors. Its intensity is pronounced either at the nose and at the palate, while its high acidity makes it the perfect companion for your pulpo à la gallega.
