Cantine San Marzano
This nectar is a 100% Vermentino from vineyards located in Brindisi area close to the sea and at 100m asl. The crop come vineyards planted in the area of San Marzano at 100m asl. The grapes are destemmed and, before pressing, they are left with their skin for few hours at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 13-15 days at 15°C. The divine juice ages for 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Salute!
The wine has a lemon yellow color with green shades. The intensity is pale.
The aroma intensity is pronounced. The glass is full of scents of acacia, honeysuckle and jasmine, followed by hints of nectarine, peach, melon and pineapple. The aromatic palette is quite vibrant thank to mineral notes of wet stone and flint, but also citrus.
In the mouth, the wine is dry with high level of acidity. On the palate, the flavor intensity is medium plus. The tasting buds are teased by hints of nectarine, melon, sprinkle of white pepper and balsamic notes of rosemary. On the palate, still a lot of minerality. The lasting is medium plus.
A very pleasant Vermentino, despite its aromatic bouquet being quite simple, and including only primary aromas. Our senses are spoiled mostly by hints of stone fruits and floral perfumes, then overwhelmed by a strong minerality. Safe option to wash down a liver-friendly frittura di paranza!
